About the South Norfolk & Waveney Valley Conservative Federation
The South Norfolk & Waveney Valley Conservative Federation was formed in October 2023 following the Parliamentary Boundary Review. It brings together much of Mid Suffolk, along with areas previously part of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk Coastal and Mid Norfolk.
The Federation covers two constituencies and includes 120 towns and parishes, largely rural and rich in diversity. In South Norfolk, Wymondham is the largest town, served by rail links to Ely and Cambridge. In the Waveney Valley, Diss has the largest population, with direct rail connections to London Liverpool Street and Norwich.
Both constituencies have deep agricultural roots, which continue to thrive alongside a range of high-performing sectors including agri-food, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, clean energy, tourism, finance, and professional services. The area is known for its open countryside and the iconic East Anglian big skies.
We are a vibrant and active Federation with a growing membership. Our purpose is to:
- Select and support Conservative Parliamentary candidates for both constituencies
- Elect Conservative representatives at local elections
- Promote Conservative values and policies across the area
- Raise funds to support our campaigning work
- Unite like-minded Conservatives and grow local engagement
