The South Norfolk & Waveney Valley Conservative Federation was created in October 2023 following the Parliamentary Boundary review and takes in much of the area covered by Mid Suffolk, together with areas that were previously part of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk Coastal and Mid Norfolk.
We are made up of two combined constituencies with a combined total of 120 town and parishes that are mainly rural and considerably diverse. Our largest town in South Norfolk is Wymondham, it is served by a rail link to Ely and Cambridge, in the Waveney Valley Diss has the largest population choice with rail links to Liverpool Street, London and Norwich. Historically both constituencies have a strong agricultural base which they both maintain, with beautiful open countryside and the famous East Anglian big skies, the current high performing clusters include Agri-food production, Life Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering, Tourism, Cultural, Finance, Insurance, Professional Sectors, Clean Energy and Technology.
The South Norfolk & Waveney Valley Conservative Federation is a vibrant federation with a active membership.
The Federation exists in order to
- Achieve the selection and election of Conservative MP's for both constituencies.
- Ensure that Conservative candidates are elected at Local Council elections
- Spread the Conservative message throughout South Norfolk and Waveney Valley and encourage support for Conservative policies, beliefs and principles
- Raise money to fund this work
- Bring together like minded Conservatives to promote the conservative message.
