Poppy Simister-Thomas recently met with Network Rail to discuss local transport infrastructure, and visit the Somerleyton swing bridge that crosses the Waveney at the Haddiscoe marshes. It was amazing to see the original Victorian bridge still in action, and understand the complexity of maintaining the equipment as part of critical local infrastructure. They also talked about:

⚙️ The benefits of the Government's investment in the Ely and Haughley junction for people across South Norfolk

🚄 Plans to increase capacity on the Norwich-London line, to increase speed of Norwich-London trains

🚉 The need to break through the gridlock on improving access at Wymondham station
