Suffolk’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Tim Passmore, has been selected as the Conservative Party candidate for the Norfolk and Suffolk Mayoral elections in 2026.
Tim, who is a Vice-President of the South Norfolk and Waveney Valley Federation, placed first in a strong field of candidates, and the Federation would like to extend it’s sincere thanks to Kay Mason Billig and Colin Noble for their well-fought campaigns. Their dedication, ideas, and commitment to our region gave members a meaningful and high-quality choice when it came to casting their votes.
Jonathan Purle, Deputy Chairman (Political) of the Federation said:
“It’s great that we have a sound candidate for this inaugural Mayoral contest. Tim gets on with every one. His pitch in the selection was as a proper Tory who understands the issues facing both counties. He’s got some serious experience behind him, stretching beyond local government. And he has an impressive personal electoral record. The Federation stands firmly behind the choice of its members.”
Nick Clarke, Chairman of the Selection Council said:
“Tim is now the candidate for all of us. Let’s unite behind him as we begin the journey to elect the very first Mayor of Norfolk and Suffolk. I look forward to joining you all on the campaign trail as we work to make that happen.”
